Question:
Is the inside of the lid easy to clean after mincing meat?
Answer: It has no corners but there are for screw heads with square little holes and a larger hexagonal hole where the central shaft is supported by the lid. There are also 4 crevices on the side to lock the lid in place before operating the device. I find it easy to clean, but I guess it depends on your standards of cleanliness. -
Question:
Could I make breadcrumbs in this & chopped salad?
Answer: Yes, you are able to chop salad. It would be best to use stale bread for making breadcrumbs. -
Question:
What recycling number is on this plastic container?
Answer: It doesn’t have a recycling number on it. This is not a typical disposable plastic item and should provide at least 10 years of use. If you’re really bothered, just reuse it as a container after! -
Question:
Can it be used to make smoothies?
Answer: I haven't tried it. I am not sure it would take ice cubes very well. It is more of a chopper than a blender, but it does do nuts well. It would also be quite small for a lot of liquid, so on balance I would say no, though it is brilliant at what it does do. -
Question:
Where can I buy a new bowl for this item?
Answer: Tefal advises that they do not sell the bowl separately. -

The blades get stuck all the time. What am I doing wrong?
Answer: We have not experienced this type of problem. 3 or 4 good pulls and all is chopped. Not sure what the problem is, but make sure all assembled correctly. -

Does it chop ice & frozen fruit?
Answer: Sorry, never tried ice or frozen fruit. But I wouldn’t try those as the blades are smaller/thinner than an electrical food processor. They might be damaged. Otherwise, it’s brilliant. -
Question:
Is the blade supposed to move anti-clockwise when the string goes back after the pull move?
Answer: The blades move anti-clockwise when you pull the string. When the string goes back, the blades turn clockwise. -
Question:
Has anyone tried to make cauli rice with this?
Answer: I am 100% sure it is capable of this, you would just need to cut the cauli into suitable sizes first, e.g., I quarter a small onion and do 2 quarters at a time. It is very sharp.
