Extech MA443 400A True RMS AC Clamp Meter, NCV, 1.2 in Jaw

The Extech MA440 Clamp Meter has elicited a mixed response from users, balancing affordability and functionality with durability and accuracy concerns. Many customers note its utility, particularly praising features such as wireless measuring capabilities and relative modes for capacitance. Users appreciate its value for the price, highlighting its usefulness in personal and home projects. However, the product has some notable downsides. A significant concern is the assertion that the MA440 is not a "True RMS" meter, which some users believed was a feature based on the product listing. This misrepresentation led to disappointment for those needing precise measurements in various electrical scenarios. Moreover, the build quality of the meter has come into question; users reported instances of warping and distortion of the plastic casing, particularly after exposure to sunlight. This highlights potential issues with the durability of the housing material. Accuracy is another point of contention. Several users reported that the amp clamp measurements were not reliable on 120-volt AC circuits, yielding results that were significantly higher than other meters within the same testing conditions. This inConsistency can be quite troubling for professionals who depend on precise readings in their work. Overall, while the Extech MA440 Clamp Meter offers good value and features for casual users and hobbyists, its durability issues, potential inaccuracies, and lack of "True RMS" capabilities may deter more serious or professional users. **
