Customer Questions & Answers

Question:
What are the primary uses of 1 Quart Ultra-Fine Pure Graphite Powder?
Answer: The 1 Quart Ultra-Fine Pure Graphite Powder is versatile and primarily used for lubricating locks, bearings, and fishing reels. Its ultra-fine consistency allows for precise application and effective lubrication in tight spaces, reducing friction and wear. Additionally, it enhances corrosion resistance, making it a valuable choice for preventing rust on various mechanical components. This powder is perfect for homeowners, mechanics, and hobbyists looking to maintain the smooth operation of their tools and equipment. -
Question:
How does graphite powder enhance bearing corrosion resistance?
Answer: Graphite powder forms a protective barrier on metal surfaces, which helps prevent moisture and contaminants from causing rust or corrosion. This is particularly important in environments where equipment is exposed to varying temperatures and humidity. By applying this ultra-fine graphite powder to bearings, you can significantly extend their lifespan and maintain their efficiency, making it widely useful for industrial machinery, automotive applications, and even fishing gear. -
Question:
Is the graphite powder safe to use on all types of locks?
Answer: Yes, the 1 Quart Ultra-Fine Pure Graphite Powder is safe for use on most types of locks. Unlike oil-based lubricants, graphite does not attract dust and debris, which can jam locks over time. It's particularly effective for residential, automotive, and padlock applications, ensuring smooth operation without damaging the internal mechanisms. Regular application can prevent rust and enhance the longevity of the locks you use daily. -
Question:
Can this graphite powder be used in high-temperature applications?
Answer: Yes, this ultra-fine graphite powder is suitable for high-temperature applications due to its thermal stability. It retains its lubricating properties even under intense heat, making it ideal for use in engines, machinery, and any equipment operating in elevated temperature conditions. Whether you're working on automotive engines or industrial equipment, this powder will provide reliable lubrication and protection against wear. -
Question:
How should I apply 1 Quart Ultra-Fine Pure Graphite Powder?
Answer: To apply the graphite powder, it's best to use a small applicator like a brush, dropper, or funnel for precision. For locks, simply insert the applicator and ensure the powder reaches the internal components. In bearings and reels, coat the surfaces evenly and avoid over-application. This method ensures optimal distribution, allowing the powder to penetrate effectively and reduce friction, making it ideal for maintainers and tinkerers. -
Question:
Is this product suitable for fishing reels?
Answer: Absolutely! The 1 Quart Ultra-Fine Pure Graphite Powder is an excellent choice for fishing reels. Its fine texture allows it to lubricate the intricate components of reels without clogging or gumming up. By using this powder, anglers can ensure smoother operation and enhanced performance in casting and reeling. This can be particularly beneficial in saltwater environments where corrosion can rapidly degrade equipment. -
Question:
Will this graphite powder leave stains or residue?
Answer: Graphite powder typically leaves a dark mark when applied, but it doesn't create a sticky residue like some oils might. As a dry lubricant, it is designed to dissipate dust and prevent accumulation while providing effective lubrication. However, it is a good idea to apply it carefully and in controlled amounts to prevent excess buildup that could become messy. This makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. -
Question:
How does the ultra-fine consistency benefit performance?
Answer: The ultra-fine consistency of the graphite powder enhances its ability to penetrate tight spaces and coat surfaces more evenly. This leads to improved lubrication and reduced friction in operating machinery, locks, and other applications. The effectiveness of fine graphite in performance translates into smoother operations, making it essential for maintenance tasks that require precision and reliability. -

TITGGI Graphite Graphite Powder 001 Editorial Review
TITGGI Fumed Silica Thickener for Epoxy Resin and Coatings, 1 Quart is an excellent choice for artists and DIY enthusiasts alike. This hydrophilic fumed silica effectively controls flow and sag in various applications including epoxy, resin, gel coat, and paint. Users have reported its versatility, noting it works well for thickening epoxy in 3D projects like whipped cream effects. However, care should be taken to use a respirator as the dust can be harmful to lungs. Many find its usage adaptable, whether for soldering insulation or paint thickening, but some mention it can be lumpy and hard to mix effectively.
