The paper template will stay in place after the very first peg is inserted, and to ensure even more stability, pegs can be inserted into each corner to begin artwork. Although it comes with around five pre-printed designs, there are no refill packs, but free templates can be downloaded from the Basic Fun website. However, some customers have experienced problems with the product, with some of the toys not working. One customer struggled to turn off the toy and had to remove the batteries, while another customer found the screws so stripped that they couldn't open the toy to put batteries in.
