Bilstein Shocks Editorial Review
The Bilstein 22-141705 B4 Series Shock Absorber is a popular product for Mercedes car models including the C230, C240, and CLK 320. The product is noted to have a firm and sporty ride, but not harsh. The shock is well-balanced between sportiness and comfort on smooth highways. The shock absorber has also been noted to be a direct fit for the mentioned Mercedes models but may need modifications for the sport version. Customers have reported a significant improvement in ride quality compared to the OEM shocks. The reported downside is that the product increases the ride height, but this tends to settle over time. The shock absorbers cost less than other similar products and have a lifetime warranty.
