Answer: Optimum performance is between 25% to 45% compression, with 25% being ideal. -

How do I prepare the seal for installation?
Answer: To prepare your black foam seals for application, cut to length with scissors or knife. Prior to installation, ensure bonding surface is properly cleaned with a 50/50 mix of denatured alcohol and water solution. -

Is this for exterior doors for the home?
Answer: As long as the dimensions are suited for your needs, Trim-Lok Rubber Seals can be used on both interior and exterior applications. We recommend 25%-40% compression for maximum sealing results. -

Does this foam stick on itself as well? If I would want to make a double layer?
Answer: Yes -- I used it to seal a crack on my screen porch, and I needed multiple layers. The foam does stick to itself. -
Question:
Can this be bent to go around the corners of a boat portlight with a radius of 1-2 inches?
Answer: Yes, it can be bent to a pretty tight radius but, ensure you clean the contact surface very throughly for good adhesion. Heat from the sun may cause it to draw away at the seam but, if you super glue the ends together, that will eliminate that strain and tendency to creep apart. -

I am wondering if this would adhere to the back of an old wood door (compression force). What would you do to install to increase adherence?
Answer: I would try to adhere it the way it comes first ! If later on it comes off use something like flex seal to rebond the gasket ! Hope t his helps you -

Can this be applied to the bottom of a wood door?
Answer: YES BUT WHAT IS THE REASON FOR INSTALLING? IS IT TO STOP NOISE IS IT TO STOP WATER IS IT TO STOP DUST OR SMOKE OR INSCETS? THIS IS THE INCORRECT SOLUTION. MOST DOORS UNDERCUT... THE SPACE BELOW THE DOOR IS 6/8 INCHES THIS RUBBER IS 3/8 INCH WHICH LEAVES A SPACE OF 3/8 INCH. What are dimensions? especially height and width. is 1.1 inches the real height? will it flex/give to seal tonneau pickup bed cover at bulkhead?
Answer: .375 height, .625 wide. It’s the exact same size that bakflip sends for there tonneau covers. It’s flexible also. I used it for tonneau and also on a hitch storage box. Worked great. -
Question:
Will this attach to finished concrete?
Answer: If your concrete is sealed well to give a smooth surface it would stick. The problem in the future is, it would not with stand any traffic and would come loose under any heat in which the glue would give loose. If the concrete remained a cool temperature, it would probably hold as long as no sunshine on it and no traffic. I used it throughout my RV for doors and exterior cabinets and it is holding 4 years plus.
