The product performs as expected, providing the necessary hydration that outdoor enthusiasts require during cold weather sports. Several reviews highlight that while instances of freezing can occur, particularly in the bite valve, they are manageable and infrequent. Most customers noted that with proper attention, they could easily remedy any minor freezing by biting the valve. Furthermore, installation and compatibility with CamelBak's systems were reported as seamless experiences, enhancing user satisfaction. Overall, the CamelBak Crux & Fusion Thermal Control Kit is recommended for winter sports lovers looking for reliable hydration solutions, albeit with a small caution regarding the bite valve, which may require occasional monitoring in extreme conditions. **
