The door mat is super absorbent and great for front door, entry, and muddy or wet shoes and paws. The pile is 1/4" high and soft to the touch. It does an excellent job of reducing dirt and water tracked into the house from outside, and it catches everything at the door, including dirt, mud, and tiny stones. However, some customers have found the rug to be smaller than expected, and some have experienced the non-slip backing slipping off. Some buyers received a rug that was a different colour from what was pictured when ordering, and some customers were disappointed that it did not perform any better than a typical rug.
