The kathson Parakeet Nest Box Bird Nesting House is a decent product, but some modifications may be necessary. The wood is nicely finished and the X-large size is perfect for parakeets. However, some customers have reported that the metal circle on the opening is sharp and extends beyond the wood on the inside, leaving it with sharp edges. The dowel given is too large, and it would be nice for the bird to have ample room to sit on either side of the opening. Some customers have also reported that the rubber band it comes with broke immediately, and the lid is not an important part of the design. The nest box is well-made and of just the right size for finches.
