The Kotobuki Hangiri Sushi Rice Mixing Tub is a well-made, genuine cypress wood bowl with sturdy metal bands that works well with sushi rice. It is 12 inches in outside diameter across the top and 10 around the bottom. Although it does not come with a cover, a damp kitchen towel can be used to keep the rice moist. One customer recommended priming it with water and vinegar before the first use. Some customers have experienced shrinkage and the rings coming off, and some have received damaged products, but overall, customers are happy with their purchase.
