The GABIL Antenna Coax 1:1 Current Balun is a well-designed enclosure product that is specifically built for outdoor use. It has an excellent power handling capacity of 2000W PEP and a frequency range of 0.5-60MHz. The device is capable of producing a resonant SWR of around 1.5, although in some measurements, it can be as high as 3-4. It is essential to note that an antenna tuner might be able to overcome the impedance mismatch, but the balun does not achieve the low advertised SWR, thereby making it ideal for a 2m dipole. Nevertheless, the use of RTV as filler causes the copper to turn green and leach into the RTV, making it fail with less than 1kw on SSB with one minute of TXing. Therefore, it is crucial to stop using RTV as filler.
