Customer Questions & Answers

Question:
What are VELCRO Brand Sticky-Back Fasteners used for?
Answer: VELCRO Brand Sticky-Back Fasteners are versatile adhesive solutions used for a variety of applications like organizing items, crafting projects, and securing lightweight objects. The removable adhesive allows for easy repositioning without damaging surfaces, making them ideal for temporary use or adjustments. For example, you can use these fasteners to keep cords organized, attach labels to boxes, or even create custom decorations for events. Their convenient 0.88 x 0.88 inch size is perfect for small tasks around the home or office. -
Question:
Are these fasteners resistant to wear and tear?
Answer: Yes, VELCRO Brand Sticky-Back Fasteners are designed to withstand common wear and tear. The durable nylon material ensures that they maintain their grip over time, which is crucial for applications like securing fabric or organizing cables. Additionally, they're perfect for use in various environments, such as classrooms or workshops, where they might receive frequent handling. Users have found these fasteners reliable for both indoor and outdoor applications, making them a practical choice for various projects. -
Question:
How do I remove VELCRO Brand Sticky-Back Fasteners without damaging surfaces?
Answer: To remove VELCRO Brand Sticky-Back Fasteners, gently peel them off the surface to avoid any damage. If needed, you can use a heat source like a hairdryer to soften the adhesive slightly, making removal easier. This approach ensures that your walls, furniture, or other surfaces remain intact. For instance, if you’ve used these fasteners in a temporary display, following this technique will allow for clean removal when you want to update your setup. Being cautious will help you maximize surface integrity. -
Question:
Can I use these fasteners on fabric?
Answer: Absolutely. VELCRO Brand Sticky-Back Fasteners work well on fabric, allowing for quick attachments. They can be used for crafts, clothing alterations, or even securing fabric panels in home decor. When applying, ensure the fabric surface is clean for the best adhesion. A great example is using them to make adjustable curtains or as closures on fabric bags. They're an excellent alternative to traditional sewing, offering flexibility and convenience in various fabric projects. -
Question:
Are there any special storage instructions for these fasteners?
Answer: To maintain the quality of VELCRO Brand Sticky-Back Fasteners, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Excessive heat or humidity can degrade the adhesive properties over time. Keeping them in their original packaging or a contained environment will help preserve their effectiveness. For those who often use fasteners, having a dedicated storage solution can enhance efficiency when accessing them for projects, ensuring they remain reliable whenever needed. -
Question:
What items can I attach with these fasteners?
Answer: You can attach a wide range of items with VELCRO Brand Sticky-Back Fasteners, including lightweight artworks, posters, organizing bins, or even remote controls. Their adaptable nature makes them suitable for home decoration, office organization, and craft projects. For example, quickly securing a phone charger to a wall can create a tidy workspace. Their versatility allows for innovative solutions, making them a staple in many households and offices. -
Question:
Are these fasteners reusable?
Answer: Yes, the VELCRO Brand Sticky-Back Fasteners are reusable to some extent. Although they are designed for removable use, keep in mind that their effectiveness can diminish after being removed multiple times. To ensure maximum reusability, adhere them to clean surfaces and avoid pulling them off forcefully. They’re particularly effective for temporary setups where adjustments are needed, such as creating temporary displays for events or exhibitions. -
Question:
How many fasteners are included in a pack?
Answer: Each pack of VELCRO Brand Sticky-Back Fasteners includes 12 individual fasteners. This quantity is ideal for various small projects or multiple applications throughout your home or office. When planning an organization or crafting project, having a convenient number of fasteners allows for creativity without needing to purchase multiple packs. For example, you can easily tidy up a desk cluttered with stationery or fabrics without the hassle of running out of fasteners. -
Question:
Are they suitable for outdoor use?
Answer: While VELCRO Brand Sticky-Back Fasteners are primarily designed for indoor use, they can work in sheltered outdoor environments as long as they are protected from direct exposure to water and extreme weather conditions. They may be used temporarily in outdoor setups like garden decorations or lightweight banners, provided there's no heavy wear. This feature offers great flexibility for users who want to apply a quick solution for outdoor displays or seasonal decorations. -
