Answer: It is suitable for most interior wood and metal surfaces. -

Is sanding required between coats?
Answer: No, sanding is not required between coats, saving time. -

What finish is available?
Answer: It is available in a satin finish. -

Do you spray this and leave it or do you have to spray and use a brush to spread it?
Answer: You just spray it and leave it. Do not spray it on thick but steel wool after each coat. No more than three coats are usually needed. I have used it in my decoy carving for many years and I believe it gives the best results. -
Question:
I'm covering a table in stickers (some vinyl, some paper) would this seal and protect them well. I heard some types of sealants can damage vinyl.
Answer: Deft is great stuff, but I wouldn't use it to protect and seal things like vinyl and paper. I think you may need an epoxy of some sort. Moisture from glasses, etc will also spot the deft and other lacquers. -
Question:
May I mix satin and gloss Deft to give me more of a semi-gloss finish? Would doing so have any negative aspects?
Answer: I'm not sure you would get desired results from mixing satin and gloss defts. To get a semi-gloss finish, I believe there is a semi-gloss product available for Deft. -

Answer: Is there a case price and is it in stock. -

Would one can be enough for a decent sized kitchen table?
Answer: You would need two to do a good job but that would even depend on the size of the table and are you doing the legs you would need another. 4 coats on top and 3-4 coats on legs. Just remember that this product will not do well with water/wet things on it. -
Question:
The hand-painted decoration on a wooden box is starting to flake off. Will this spray keep it from doing that? I do not want to use a brush.
Answer: I didn't buy the spray to use that way so I can't say. Seems like it would seal. Sometimes I've found that you just have to buy and try. Sorry I couldn't say for sure. -

Is this price for a case of 6 cans?
Answer: The listing I was shown says the price is $9.69. You're asking is this is for 6 cans? Really? Where do you live? I'm not trying to be mean but come on, be serious what can you buy for $1.61 per can???? To answer your question: No it's for 1 can and it is a good and fair price for what you get. -
Question:
So just to be clear - this can be used on pieces that have been painted to seal them? Not just raw wood?
Answer: The best bet is to put a coat of shellac on your painted piece as shellac will stick to anything and not react in a bad way and then spray with the lacquer as it will stick to shellac :) Some finishes react badly with other finishes except for shellac, so that is a good mid layer. -
Question:
Can it be used over oil based stain on wood?
Answer: This works well over most oil based stains such as Minwax. But you must apply (spray, not brush) it in thin coats. Otherwise it could cause the pigment in the stain to dissolve.
