About This Item
Introducing the 2-Channel Isolated RS485 Expansion HAT for Raspberry Pi. This HAT is designed to enhance your Raspberry Pi experience by providing reliable and stable communication through the SC16IS752+SP3485 solution. With its embedded protection circuits, including power supply isolation, ADI magnetical isolation, and TVS diode, this HAT ensures safety and stability in your industrial automation projects. The HAT features a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header, allowing it to be easily connected to Raspberry Pi series boards.
It utilizes the SC16IS752+SP3485 dual chip combination, converting SPI to RS485 with a maximum data rate of 921600bps. The onboard DIP switch allows for manual or automatic transceiving of data, providing flexibility in your projects. To ensure reliable operation, this HAT is equipped with an onboard TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) that effectively suppresses surge voltage and transient spike voltage in the circuit, making it lightning-proof and anti-electrostatic. It also features an auto-recovery fuse and protection diodes, ensuring stable current and voltage outputs and protecting against over-current and over-voltage situations. The HAT includes onboard LEDs that indicate the power and transceiver status, making it easy to monitor the operation.
It also comes with breakout SPI control pins, allowing it to be connected to host control boards like Arduino. With its compact dimensions of 65mm × 56.5mm and 3.0mm mounting hole size, this HAT is designed to seamlessly integrate with your Raspberry Pi setup.
