Pctel Antennas 5 Editorial Review
**** The Maxrad BMATM38 antenna mount has garnered a mixed reception among customers, reflecting a dichotomy in user experiences. Many users have praised the mount for its quality and ease of installation, particularly when paired with compatible antennas like the Larsen. They noted that the installation process is straightforward, requiring only that the bare end of the cable runs through a rubber grommet in the vehicle’s firewall, which they found manageable. The soldering of the cable to the mount was also frequently mentioned as a simple task. However, some customers expressed disappointment regarding product specifications and quality. A significant point of contention appears to be confusion surrounding its sizing; several reviews highlighted issues with the mount not fitting as advertised in a 3/8-inch hole, where users expected a 3/8-inch device but received a 3/4-inch product instead. Additionally, there were complaints about quality, with some customers describing the components as low quality and noting that their products arrived disassembled in a bag, which contributed to a disappointing overall experience. Overall, while the Maxrad BMATM38 offers good Construction and installation for those who receive the correct size, the issues related to fitting and component quality have led to skepticism and dissatisfaction for some users. **
