Answer: I started with a six, but was moving the hoop constantly, so I've been using an 8. It's larger than I'm used to, but I can cover a lot more territory without having to reposition the hoop. -

What size needle did this come with. I have lost mine?
Answer: When I can't find the original needle, I use any needle I have. All the needle in the kits are about the same. So if you have an extra needle from a kit it should work. -
Question:
What size hoops for a 10 by 13?
Answer: I use a scroll frame. They come in different sizes but they are measured in a square/rectangle. No marks on the fabric and a larger section is available to work on. -

I don't know what size hoops to use?
Answer: You can use whatever size you are comfortable with. -

I've done embroidery before, but never a counted cross stitch project. Would this be too difficult for a beginner?
Answer: If you have never done cross stitch, you may want to start with something simpler. If you have been a crafter and are good with teaches yourself, go for it. There are also probably you tube videos now. I made this one for my granddaughter. I did substitute pink for the blue drawer. There was not enough floss of the brown to do the outlining, so I would buy some floss near the same color. I had to call them and wait for some matching floss to arrive to complete it. It is very cute, but I would not do this one for a boy. I think that it is much cuter for a girl. -

Would this fit a standard frame with matting?
Answer: The finished size is 9-inches by 12-inches, so it would fit inside any standard frame with that size of opening.
