    Answer: The content of the yarn is 100% polyester and the size of the ball is 300g / 10.5 oz, 201 meters / 220 yards.
  • Question: What is the suggested gauge for knitting?

    Answer: The suggested knitting gauge is 8 sts and 13 rows with a 8 mm (U.S. 11) knitting needle.
  • Question: Is this yarn machine washable?

    Answer: Yes, this yarn is conveniently machine washable and dryable.
  • Question: How many skeins would it take to make about a 6 x 8 blanket?

    Answer: I would say 8 to 10 depending on the pattern. For a 6x8 feathers and fans afghan I made that fits a queen/king, I used 8 plus two more for the border.
  • Question: How many balls would I need to make a blanket that fits a queen size bed?

    Answer: I made a queen size camp blanket with spin rite big ball mossy oak, and it took approx 12. It came down the sides about 4" foot to head.
  • Question: The color on here looks more of a grey is it grey or a brown?

    Answer: This is a brown shade not grey. Not sure why the picture looks so grey? The blanket pictured on the cover of yarn is made in this shade and is more accurate.
  • Question: Have any of you found knots in these big balls of yarn? If so, what did you do about them?

    Answer: I "always" roll my yarn into balls first. I never start any crochet project without making sure that there is no problem with my yarn. Learned the hard way with too many other projects. But honestly this yarn is much easier to work with because of its weight. Happy Crocheting or knitting!
  • Question: The picture looks blue, is this really green?

    Answer: If I recall, it is a sage sort of green. Although I am not positive.
  • Question: Can you use 20 mm needle with this yarn?

    Answer: Way too big and it will catch on everything. Perfect to use between 9 when knit loosely and up to 11mm.
  • Question: Is this the same color as the baby denim shade of the bernat baby blanket yarn?

    Answer: The Bernat Blanket Country Blue is not the same as the Bernat Baby Blanket Denim. Close, but they are a shade or two apart.
  • Question: How do you wash Bernard yarn?

    Answer: When you make your blanket, make sure it is on delicate wash cycle or you can take it to the cleaners.
  • Question: Would this be a good color match for a mermaid blanket? Looking for a teal/blue/green bulky yarn if anyone has suggestions.

    Answer: Yes, I have made many mermaid blankets with this color. Wish I could post a picture. I used this for the bottom and trimmed it with Light Tea.
