Can this be used to scoop the inside of an onion?
Answer: It scoops the size of an average tomato stem, but it is very sharp & can be used to scoop virtually any fruit or vegetable. When wanting to scoop something larger (such as the inside of a yellow summer squash or onions), steam the item/s in the microwave & use a rounded, sharp-edge spoon (think a tablespoon measuring spoon) & use the spoon like a melon ball scoop. The tomato core scoop is too small to get much out at once. -
