Answer: No, it works by applying pressure on a separate device that is from the base. It would be impossible for tin cans. It works amazing on anything with a separate lid from the base. It fits any lid with a 1/2” - 6” diameter. It takes very little effort to twist open the lid…even for people with severe wrist weakness and arthritis. -

How long are the three screws?
Answer: 1” screws; although you won’t need them. The pkg includes double back foam tape with the opener and screws. The tape is extremely durable and very sticky. Once it touches anything, it’s stuck…you can’t remove it without damaging the tape. We’ve purchased 6 units for friends who’ve were VERY impressed by ours. We’ve all found the tape to be very successful and long term. We’re highly satisfied. -
