Answer: I used it with another 3M half mask respirator. The connection looks exactly the same, so they should be interchangeable and much more comfortable than N95. -

Answer: These filters are not guaranteed to protect against fumes as they are particulate filters, not vapor filters. They protect against particles as small as viruses and fungi. For fume protection, you need to use 3M vapor filters. It would be better to use the 3M N95 5P71 filters attached to the vapor cartridge filters for protection from fumes, particles, and particulates. -

Is a cartridge required to use these filters?
Answer: No, it connects directly to the mask. I used a 3M half mask respirator. All 3M filters attach directly to the mask. -

How long is the life of these filters and when should they be replaced?
Answer: For oily particles, change after 40 hours or 30 days, whichever comes first. For non-oily particles, suggest changing when damaged/dirty or when it becomes harder to breathe through the respirator. -
