Users are advised to turn the triangle shaped handle on top as hard as possible to tightly seal the lid. Once steam is seen emitting from the pot, the temperature should be turned down to prevent evaporation of liquid. The pot is suitable for an induction cooker, but the pressure release cannot be manually activated. The silicone gasket on the inside of the lid looks sturdy. The vast majority of reviewers have rated the product positively, but some have mentioned that the lid is tough to seal and that there have been broken handles upon arrival. The pot is sturdy and well built, but on a few occasions, the lid was misaligned and that prevented the pot from coming up to pressure. The pot is also not suitable for pressure canning.
