    Answer: The Redington Vice 9’ 6 weight does not have a fighting butt. The Redington 9’6” 6 weight does have a fighting butt.
  • Question: What size is the 490-4?

    Answer: Usually means rod is 4 weight 9 ft in 4 pieces.
  • Question: What kind of butt is on it?

    Answer: Depends on what weight you get. I bought the 3wt 8 1/2 and it has a standard butt (i.e no fighting butt).
  • Question: Does the 7 wt have a fighting butt?

    Answer: I’d be blown away if it didn’t. The 6wt which I purchased a couple years ago did. These are sweet bargain-priced high-performance rods. Good luck.
