The Nippon Labs NL-ST0023Z 2.5 SATA III USB 3.0 2.5 Enclosure is an affordable yet effective option for housing an SSD. Made of plastic, the enclosure features a mesh design on one side for ventilation. Opening the enclosure is simple with the push of a button, and the SSD fits well inside, though not snugly. However, some users have reported issues with the drive not being recognized on both Windows and OSX. One user mentioned that even after attaching a power cable for extra power, the drive still could not be recognized. There were no instructions included in the box, which adds to the frustration. Hopefully, Nippon Labs will provide assistance in resolving this issue, otherwise, customers may have to return the product. Despite these setbacks, the Nippon Labs enclosure performs well for its intended purpose. It is unclear if the enclosure supports UASP, but for basic SSD housing, it does the job effectively.
