Question:
Will this work for a popsicle school bus craft I’d plan to make with my grandson?
Answer: It can be used on wood. But the enamels are transparent so you can see thru glass I suppose. They have a gloss finish. But they are good for all the same things as regular acrylic. Just not opaque. I use it as you would any other acrylic paint. I find the enamels, when cured, make things water resistant. Sometimes I use the same color in the regular acrylics for a coat or two before the enamels because they are transparent some take too many coats or some you can't get solid color at all. But I like the glossy water resistance on some projects. -
Question:
Is this enamel or acrylic - they are two different things - paint cannot be both enamel and acrylic!...?
Answer: This product is an acrylic enamel. -
Question:
Can I use this on a fabric lamp shade that I want to temain translucent?
Answer: This paint is not a translucent paint and it is not intended to be used on fabric. -
Question:
Can i use this on inside of wine bottles
Answer: This product is not intended for use inside of a wine bottle. The paint will not cure properly inside of a bottle. It should be used on the exterior of a bottle. -
Question:
What kind of brush or applicator is best for use with this paint?
Answer: I use regular art brushes when painting on glass. The great thing about this product is that you don’t have to fire it in the oven. -

Is this waterproof?
Answer: This product is water resistant . It is not water proof. -
Question:
Can this paint be used with an AirPen?
Answer: I'm not very familiar with AirPens but more than likely the pigments used in this paint will be too large and clog up the nozzle. I would recommend using an artist grade acrylic paint opposed to a craft paint. -
Question:
Is the warm white a glossy finish, a satin finish, or a matte finish? Planning on using it on a glossy ceramic canister.
Answer: It’s a satin finish.
FolkArt Paints 4140 Editorial Review
This acrylic enamel paint, in a satin finish, can be used on wood and exterior of a bottle but not on fabric, the inside of a wine bottle, or for an AirPen. Regular art brushes can be used to paint on glass giving the surface a rough feeling finish. A sealant should be used after painting, for a smooth and shiny finish. It is water resistant, not waterproof. It takes at least two layers of paint for a solid color. Customers liked the paint for covering paintings, painted sculptures or as a primer on resin printed models, giving a stained glass effect on glass surfaces and for painting sections of a pool cue. However, some customers found the paint to not hold very well and had issues with delivery and product quality.
